With a career that has spanned the private, public and nonprofit sectors, multiple continents, and diverse functional roles, Eileen brings to Coyle a broad perspective yet relentless focus on tight strategy and execution. After graduating from MIT with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Eileen designed diagnostic and guiding catheters and stent delivery systems for Cordis in the interventional cardiology space. She then joined Guidant as an expatriate in Tokyo in a dual product marketing and quality assurance role, interfacing between U.S. based engineers and Japanese cardiologists. She finished her medical device career with Medtronic as Marketing Director over three vascular and heart surgery business lines totaling $90M in annual revenue.
She then received an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from Wharton and a White House Fellowship at the Office of Management and Budget. She continued her federal/contractor service with the Department of Health and Human Services, General Services Administration (the chief federal agency responsible for government-wide procurement), National Transportation Safety Board and District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development. She has also served as a consultant for numerous small businesses and nongovernmental organizations and written multiple winning federal and private foundation grant proposals.
